Automotive Engine Cylinder Bore Coating Equipment
To reduce the weight of passenger cars and lower fuel consumption, developed Western countries have widely adopted plasma spraying technology for engine cylinder bore inner walls, replacing the traditional method of inserting cast iron cylinder liners. However, given the vast number of automotive engines produced, the commonly used rotary table workpiece rotation method in thermal spraying is inefficient. There is a need for a tool that enables high-volume, continuous, and automated internal bore coating.
In response, United Coating has developed a plasma internal bore gun continuous rotation device. This device can clamp the internal bore plasma spray gun and rotate it continuously 360 degrees inside the cylinder bore, enabling rapid deposition of coatings on the cylinder bore inner wall. Furthermore, multiple internal bore guns can simultaneously coat several cylinder bores within an engine, efficiently completing the coating process for large batches of engines.
